When you're ready for twice the fun!

In the San Diego Tandem Club, we believe that two's company and a whole club is even better! Since the early 1990s, we've been doing all the usual things that bicycle clubs do—rides, tours, special events and social activities—only we prefer to do them doubled up.

Our rides range from leisurely excursions around town to challenging (but scenic) back country outings, and there aren't many tandem-friendly coastal routes, mountain passes, quiet neighborhoods or city streets in San Diego County that we haven't explored. Three or four times a year, we have planning parties (often coupled with rides) to map out our ride schedule for the upcoming months, and in the late summer, we host a daylong rally featuring a ride, barbecue and raffle—our most popular event of the year.

If you've gotten the impression that we're a very sociable crew, you're right. So whether you're a tandem team who's looking for others who share your enjoyment of the sport, or a half-bike rider who's interested in tandeming but hasn't taken the plunge, we hope you'll check our some of our activities—and then join the club. In addition to the beautiful San Diego scenery, you'll discover some of the friendliest and most congenial cyclists around.
